Jace Social Privacy Policy
Last updated: Oct 21 2026 What Jace Social keeps about you, and why, in plain words. Jace Social is part of Jace: when you sign in with Jace, the Jace Privacy Policy also covers your Jace account.Your account
When you sign in with Minecraft we keep your Minecraft name and id; with Jace, your Jace username and account id. Your profile is what you add to it: display name, @handle, picture, banner, about me, pronouns, links and status. We never see your Microsoft or Jace password. What you send
Your messages, files, reactions, servers, group chats and friends are stored so you and the people you talk to can see them. Deleting a message deletes it. Link previews are fetched by our server, so the sites you see previews of don't get your IP address. Voice calls go directly between devices, or through a relay that can't listen to them.Your settings
Your settings (theme, accent color, background picture, custom CSS, notifications and the rest) are saved with your account so they follow you to every device. Your background picture is stored like a profile picture: anyone with its link could open it. Your custom CSS only changes how Jace Social looks for you.Call sounds
Ringtones and calling sounds you upload are stored like pictures: anyone with a sound's link could play it. If you share one in the community library, everyone on Jace Social can find it, see your @handle next to it, and use it. Delete a sound any time in Settings → Sounds.Jace messages
When you sign in with Jace (or link it), Jace Social can sync your direct messages and group chats with your Jace account at jaceo.vercel.app. It's off until you turn it on (Settings → Accounts → Jace messages); signing in never imports anything by itself. When it's on:• Your past Jace conversations are copied here once, and new Jace messages arrive here as they come in.
• Messages you send here to other Jace people, and in group chats that came from Jace, are also saved to your Jace account. Only the text goes to Jace: not files, reactions, edits or deletions.
• To do that, Jace Social keeps an access token for your Jace messages, encrypted, on its server. It's never shown to apps or other people.
To stop it: Settings → Accounts → Jace messages. Turn off Sync messages with Jace to pause it, or press Disconnect Jace messages to delete the token. Messages already copied stay where they are. Conversations with Minecraft-only players are never sent to Jace.
The Jace bot
The official Jace bot answers questions with AI: your chat with it (the latest messages) is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to write its answer. Cloudflare doesn't use it to train AI models or improve its services. Press Talk to a person and the people running the Jace bot answer instead - they can read your chat with it. The Jace bot also sends announcements to everyone.Deleting your account
Ask the Jace bot to "delete my account". You sign in again to show it's you, and confirm. Your account then disappears for everyone, and you're signed out everywhere. Your Jace messages connection (its token) is deleted at once. For 10 days we keep everything set aside, so your recovery ID can bring it back. (End your message with ([DELETE-NOW]) to skip that: everything is deleted at once.) After 10 days your account and everything in it - profile, friends, messages, servers you own, settings - is deleted for good. Files you uploaded may stay in storage a little longer before they're cleaned up.Jace ban appeals
If your Jace account is banned or muted and you message Jace Official to appeal, the people who run Jace Official (Jace's owner and admins) can read and answer your appeal in Jace Social, and lift the ban. Jace Social fetches it from Jace only for them, doesn't store it, and never shows it to anyone else.Bans
If you're banned from Jace Social, we keep the ban and its reason so you can't sign in again. If your account is linked to Jace, the ban can also be applied to your Jace account.Who sees what
Your friends see your status and what you're playing; you can go invisible. People who aren't your friends never see your status. Finding you and messaging you: by default only your friends can message you, and people need your exact @handle to find you. If you turn on Anyone can find me and message me (Settings → Links & privacy), you show up when people search in Find people, and anyone can message you. Removing someone (as a friend, or with Stop messages) stops their messages. Your profile link (jace-social.vercel.app/u/your-handle) only shows your profile if you turn on Public profile page: then anyone with the link can see your name, picture, about me and links, even without signing in. Bots only see what's in the chats they're added to, and everything a bot does is logged for its owner and the server's admins. We don't sell your data or show ads.Where it's kept
On Supabase (the database and files) and Vercel (the website), which store it for us. Your sign-in on a device stays on that device.Questions
